Yuri is a 65 years old widower. Since the death of his wife, he obsessively scrutinizes others for details that would remind him of her. In his sculptor's studio, he strived to re-make her. It only lacks one key element, the eyes. When he comes across Andreas (24), it's obvious: he has her eyes. Yuri will be turned upside down by this meeting, both humanly and for what it represents: the end of his quest.

Matas returns to his neighborhood in Vilnius (Lithuania) after fleeing the war in Ukraine. He finds his wife and the friends he left behind when he joined the conflict. Caught off by the resumption of life, he justifies his return by faking an injury to his leg. Deeply marked by the war and unable to confide in anyone, he sinks into this lie that will quickly eat away at him.
